The Global Open Air Quality Standards (GO AQS) and the European Indoor Air Quality Society (IAQS) are pleased to announce a strategic partnership dedicated to advancing indoor air quality (IAQ) standards and governance across Europe. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to promoting healthier, safer, and more productive indoor environments through science-based standards, knowledge exchange, and stakeholder engagement.

Marianne Kemmer, Executive director of the Indoor Air Quality Society (IAQS) delivered the opening speech at the event “Sustainability Through Standards: Certifications Shaping a Greener Future”, organised as part of the Jornadas FM 2026 programme.

The event brought together experts and stakeholders from across the sustainability and certification landscape to discuss the growing role of standards, certifications and governance frameworks in supporting the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient future.

IAQS recently held a one‑day members’ meeting in Amsterdam, bringing together members, invited experts, and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) stakeholders to explore the growing connection between Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) priorities and Indoor Air Quality in Europe.

This year IAQS participated in Sustainable Places with two contributions across key thematic workshops, highlighting the role of indoor environmental quality (IEQ) in creating healthier and more resilient built environments.

IAQS is thrilled to have had a dynamic presence at #DASCongress2023 in Marmaris, Turkey. IAQS Steering Committee members, made insightfull presentations and actively contributed to discussions, making the event a huge success.
